TheMahjong.io was born from a simple idea: to help people, especially older adults, keep their minds active while enjoying a relaxing game. We’ve seen firsthand how classic games can provide gentle mental exercise – for example, studies show that playing mahjong is recommended to seniors to maintain brain health and improve memory. Inspired by this, our mission is to bring the timeless joy of Mahjong to everyone in an accessible, user-friendly way.
What began with our work on SolitaireX (our online card game platform) has evolved into TheMahjong.io – a place where anyone can enjoy Mahjong puzzles at their own pace, stay sharp, and have fun doing it. We believe that whether you’re a lifelong Mahjong lover or a newcomer, a well-designed game can brighten your day and give your brain a healthy workout in the process.
Our story started with a passion for classic games and a desire to share them with family and friends. After seeing how much seniors appreciated easy-to-play online solitaire, we realized Mahjong could offer the same blend of mental stimulation and stress relief. So, we set out to craft a digital Mahjong experience that feels intuitive, calming, and rewarding.
